MEET THE STAFF
Jeff R. Leinberger, Executive Director
Jeff is a seasoned executive with 19 years of healthcare experience in various roles including Laboratory Practitioner, Account Executive and Consultant. Most recently, Jeff has served as Director of Application Development at Roper St. Francis Healthcare, since August of 2007. Prior to his work with Roper, Jeff traveled across the United States working as an advisor to multiple large Integrate Delivery Networks (IDN) including Children’s Hospital of Boston, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Baptist Health, Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC and Carolina’s Health System in Charlotte, NC. In September of 2012, Jeff officially joined the ranks at the Dream Center Clinic, as Executive Director, after volunteering/advising at the clinic since its opening in 2009. Jeff is a Lean Six Sigma Certified Green Belt and a member of the National and Local Chapters of the Project Management Institute where his focus has been on improved quality, process improvement and efficiencies. Jeff participated in the architecture of the local Health Information Exchange (HIE) in Charleston, SC and continues to help develop the benefits of exchanging data at the state and national levels. Jeff holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration. Jeff is also a Pastor with Seacoast Church and he resides in Hanahan, SC with his wife, Stacey, 11 year old son, Griffin, and 6 year old daughter, Selah.
Max Myers FNP, Director of Nursing
Max came to Charleston initially for an extended visit with her new grandchild. She was fortunate to find a roommate who introduced her to Seacoast Church and subsequently the Dream Center Clinic in 2012. After volunteering first as an RN and then a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), she took on her current role in November of 2015, when the clinics original DON retired.
Coming to us with an extensive medical background (both paid and volunteer), Max has specialized in emergency medicine, nursing leadership and nephrology nursing during her career. She has remained active as a volunteer in the community in the following industries: Nursing Homes, Emergency Medical Services, and the National Kidney Foundation. Max holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing with a Post MSN certification as an FNP.
While caring for her granddaughter during the week is the biggest joy of her life, Max also relishes spending her free time reading, horseback riding and antiquing.
Louise W. Lawrence, Human Service Consultant
Louise W. Lawrence is the human service consultant, for the Dream Center Clinic. She started working at the clinic in 2009.
Louise has attended Seacoast Church for nine years.
A native of Charleston, she is a retired educator and social worker. She is a graduate of Voorhees College, where she majored in Social Science and Education. She holds a M.A in Human Service and a M.P.A. in Public Administration from Webster University. Louise has also done post-graduate work on her PhD in Human Service.
Louise is an avid decorator and spends time creating and re-creating her living space. She is also an avid NHRA follower.
Patty Scears, Interpreter Coordinator
Patty Scears is the interpreter coordinator at the Dream Center Clinic. She started in 2013 as a volunteer bilingual interpreter.
Patty is a member of Cathedral Church on Ashley Phosphate where she serves as the Cathedral Cares Nursing Home leader and a member of Guest services.
Her 21 years of experience as an RN in California and Florida for medical surgical services and clinical nursing facilitate her translation for our Spanish-speeking patients. Prior to her career in nursing, Patty combined her love of travel with her business studies as assistant Food and Beverage Controller for the Stanford Park Hotel in Palo Alto, CA. She also sailed the 7 seas, visited 6 of the 7 continents and hiked above the Arctic Circle with Royal Viking Lines. Now retired she enjoys hiking, photography, and traveling with her husband Glenn who serves with the Bread Basket ministry at Cathedral and is Air Force retired.
